See it in under a minute

A narrated tour with an invented portfolio: what it's worth, what's coming up, a sale planned in a blackout, a vesting schedule, the calendar, hiding amounts and importing a spreadsheet. Nothing plays until you press play.

Why Vestpocket

Simple, private, and yours to keep

Simple

One screen answers the questions that matter: what is it worth, what vests next, and can I sell today? Everything beyond the basics is optional.

Private

No account and no server. Your grants live only on your phone. No analytics, no tracking, no ads. Lock it with Face ID or your fingerprint, and hide every amount with one tap.

No subscription

Try everything free for 30 days, then buy it once and own it for life. Nothing to pay up front, nothing renews, nothing is charged automatically.

Built for biotech

Private companies valued at their 409A price, vesting that waits on a milestone like an approval, quarterly trading windows, and what happens to your options when you change jobs.

How it works

Set up in a few minutes

  1. Add your grantsType in a grant from your grant agreement (company, type, quantity, strike, date and schedule), or import all of them from Excel or CSV.
  2. Add your trading windowsEnter the open windows or blackout periods your company announces, usually once a quarter.
  3. Check it when it mattersSee your value and next vest at a glance, plan orders, and put every vest and deadline in your calendar.

What it does

Everything about your equity, nothing you don't need

See what it's worth

  • Total value, split into vested (yours today) and unvested (still to vest)
  • Options valued at their spread over the strike price; underwater options count as zero, never negative
  • Delayed stock prices, refreshed with a pull; or your own price for a private company
  • Several companies? See them together or one at a time
  • All values are before tax, and every price shows its date
List of grants with vested progress

Know what vests next

  • The next vesting date and the one after, with shares and today's value
  • Any schedule: a cliff, then monthly, quarterly, semiannual or annual vesting
  • Exact dates for irregular or back-loaded grants
  • Milestone tranches with no date yet, shown separately until they vest
  • Each grant's full vesting timeline, with what has already vested
A grant's vesting schedule

Trade only when you're allowed to

  • Your trading window at a glance: open until a date, or closed until the next one opens
  • Works with open windows, blackout periods, or both, and flags windows that need pre-clearance
  • Plan sells, buys, option exercises and sell-to-cover orders: market, limit, stop or stop-limit, time in force, status and fills
  • A warning when a planned order falls in a blackout, unless it's part of a 10b5-1 plan
  • It's your own record: Vestpocket never connects to a broker or places a trade
Planning an order with a trading-window warning

Never miss a date

  • One tap puts vests, trading windows, planned orders and option deadlines in a "Vestpocket" calendar, in Apple Calendar or Google Calendar
  • Or export a calendar file for Outlook or a computer
  • Amounts stay out of calendar events unless you turn them on
  • Optional reminders the day before a vest, when a window opens, and 30 days before an option deadline
Upcoming vests, windows and deadlines

Bring everything in, take everything out

  • Import all your grants, vesting dates, windows and orders from Excel or CSV
  • Common broker column names are recognized; rows with problems are listed, the rest import
  • Download the template or see the columns
  • Export everything to a spreadsheet at any time, as a backup or to move to a new phone

Built for biotech

Made for how equity works in biotech

Private companies
No ticker? Enter the price yourself, such as the latest 409A or financing round, with its date.
Milestone vesting
Shares that vest on an approval or a data readout are tracked as "on milestone" until a date is known.
Trading windows
Readouts and earnings mean frequent blackouts. See at a glance when you can trade and plan around it.
Changing jobs
Enter your last day: Vestpocket shows what was forfeited and the deadline to exercise your vested options (usually 90 days).

Privacy

Private by design

Vestpocket has no account and no server, so there is nothing of yours for us to keep. Your grants, orders and windows are stored only on your phone (and in your phone's own backup, if you use one). The only thing the app sends anywhere is a stock ticker, such as "ACME", to a public price service to look up its price. No amounts, no grant details, no identifiers. You can turn that off and enter prices yourself. Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. Read the privacy policy.

Pricing

Try it, then buy it once

30 days free, then one payment

Everything works during the trial. Keep it with a single purchase, yours for life on every device signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account.

  • No subscription, nothing renews
  • Starts when you open the app: no sign-up, nothing to pay
  • Nothing is charged automatically

If you don't buy

Your data stays on your phone and stays visible. After the trial these keep working:

  • Your dashboard, grants, orders and vesting schedules
  • Price updates

Adding and editing, spreadsheet import and export, calendar sync and reminders need the purchase.

Questions

Frequently asked

Where is my data stored?

Only on your phone, in the app's own storage. Your phone's backup (iCloud or Google) includes it like any other app's data. There is no Vestpocket server or account.

Does Vestpocket connect to my broker?

No. You enter your grants yourself or import them from a spreadsheet. Orders in the app are your own plan and record; nothing is ever sent to a broker.

Does it calculate taxes?

No. Values are before tax. Options are valued at their spread over the strike price. Check your grant documents, broker and tax advisor for the official numbers.

Where do the stock prices come from?

Delayed prices from a public price service (Yahoo Finance, with Stooq as a backup). Only the ticker is sent. For a private company, or if you prefer, you enter the price yourself.

What types of equity does it support?

Restricted stock units (RSUs), restricted stock awards, incentive and non-qualified stock options (ISO, NSO), stock appreciation rights, and shares you already own, across as many companies as you like.

What happens when the trial ends?

If you don't buy, you can still see everything and update prices. Adding and editing, spreadsheet import and export, calendar sync and reminders need the one-time purchase. Nothing is charged automatically.

I'm moving to a new phone. How do I keep my data?

Restoring your phone backup brings it along. You can also export a spreadsheet from Settings and import it on the new phone. Restore your purchase from Settings › Vestpocket Lifetime. A purchase on the App Store doesn't carry over to Google Play, and vice versa.

Can I hide the numbers when I'm in public?

Yes: tap the eye on the dashboard to hide every amount, and turn on the Face ID or fingerprint lock in Settings.
